Which mudra is good for high blood pressure? We are a combination of electrical charges, the electromagnetic field, vibrations, frequencies and energies. The mudras in yoga connect us with different facets of healing, corrections, and bringing back balance to our bodies. The daily pull and push of life, the chase and the pace of life, always upsets our equilibrium. Mudras help us connect and bring us back. Scripture defines mpartsmudra as "mudam anandam dadati iti mudra," which means something which brings happiness or delight.

The Five Elements That Comprise:

  • The physical body is made of fire (Agni), water (AAP), air (vayu), sky or space (Aakash), and Earth (Prithvi). Disease results from an imbalance of these components, compromising the immune system. By using mudras to connect one portion of the body with another in a specific way, this imbalance can be eliminated.
  • An element is brought into harmony, and the illness resulting from that imbalance is healed when the thumb and corresponding finger come into contact. Our body, mind, and spirit run through meridians of stimulation. And these meridians, when stimulated, repair, restore and rejuvenation. There are various types of mudras.

Here Are Some Mudras One Can Practice For Health Benefits:

  1. Khechari Mudra: In this Mudra, the tongue is rolled up to touch the soft palette, and then, with practice over some time, it is inserted into the nasal cavity behind the palette. It aids in fending off hunger, thirst, deterioration, and death.
  2. Shunya Mudra (Seal of Emptiness): Stretch the other fingers outward while touching the tips of your thumb and middle finger. This posture improves mental clarity and relieves ear and hearing problems.
  3. Ashwini Mudra: This Mudra is performed by rhythmically contracting the anal sphincter muscles. It helps in removing constipation. It also removes all the diseases of the rectum.
  4. Shambhavi Mudra: This Mudra involves gazing at the eyebrow centre. It activates the Ajna chakra and aids in fending off hunger, thirst, deterioration, and death.
  5. Prana Mudra: Keep the other two fingers straight. It helps in imparting extraordinary power to your eyes.

Conclusion

You can use mudras while you wait, sit, stand, stroll, or converse at any time of day. Mudras take a long time to become effective; practice is required. Include these easy yoga mudras in your regular practice to help with everyday health concerns. Consistent practice can improve mental, emotional, and physical health. Remember to concentrate and take deep breaths when performing these mudras.
