Women must prioritise their health, as opposed to worrying about the well-being of people around them. It is advisable for women to find the time to exercise every day, especially as they grow older, in order to boost their immunity, work on their physical strengths, regulate their hormones, and bolster their mental and emotional well-being. Yoga, for instance, can take care of a host of health problems, while enabling women to work on their flexibility, reproductive health, overall strength and stamina.

According to celebrity yoga and holistic wellness expert Anshuka Parwani, any kind of movement improves overall health and mental well-being. But, since most women have busy schedules and are not always able to dedicate time to a regular physical exercise routine, they must resort to practising simple yoga asanas that can bring about many health benefits. Read on.

Health Benefits Of Everyday Yoga

In a post on Instagram, Parwani listed the health benefits for women who practise yoga daily:

  • These asanas can work on your overall body flexibility.
  • They can improve reproductive health.
  • They help you manage hormonal imbalances.
  • They strengthen pelvic muscles.
  • They can improve overall strength and stamina.

Parwani demonstrated a few simple asanas for women to do every day; they can be practised from the comfort of home. Take a look.

Malasana/Deep Squat Pose

Sit in a squatting position on the yoga mat and join your hands. Sway a little. This asana can manage symptoms of PCOD, help with constipation, stretch hip muscles and work on your pelvic floor.

Malasana to Uttanasana/Standing Forward Bend Pose

Assume a squatting position, touch your feet with your hands as demonstrated in the video and slowly lift your butt muscles to stand in a forward-bend pose. Make sure your legs are kept hip-width apart. This yoga asana can improve your digestion, relieve stress and anxiety, and massage internal organs. According to the expert, it can also loosen the spine.

Malasana Knee Taps

Sit in the squatting Malasana pose first and then twist your thighs to make sure your knees touch the ground alternatively. It can help with blood circulation and increase hip flexibility. Also, it is known to strengthen wrist and shoulder joints.

Baddha Konasana/Butterfly Pose

This is quite a popular asana, wherein sit on the mat with your knees folded and your feet joined. Place your hands on the feet to lock them and then slowly flap your thighs like the wings of a butterfly. It can improve balance and posture, increase hip mobility, and ease menstrual pain. It also stimulates kidneys and ovaries.
