Like every athlete, PV Sindhu also has a trainer and a physiotherapist who trains her and keeps a track of her progress. But, her fitness has a lot to do with the kind of determination and passion she possesses to be the best athlete.

Sindhu Is An early bird

Do you know she gets up at 3:30 in the morning? Many of us social media and Netflix addicts go to sleep around this time. However, it is pretty normal for international level athletes to follow a schedule like this.

Trains for 6-7 hours a day

The Olympic medalists’ single training session can go up to a thousand shuttles and more. She trains for almost 6-7 hours in a single day and six days a week.

Evening Session

During the evening, she attends her gym and running sessions which continues for a stretch of 2-3 hours a day.

Running

Sindhu follows an alternate running session that includes: two to three sets of ten 400m runs a single 2.4 km run on the other day to build endurance and strength.

Core Strength Training

Sindhu also performs100 push-ups and 200 sit-ups in a day. This makes for 600 pushups and 2400 abdominal exercises in a week to activate her core and abdominal muscles.
