What causes it?

In the monsoon season, humidity, moisture level, and atmospheric pressure can cause pain in joints, says Dr Pramod Bhor, director of orthopedics and robotic joint replacement surgeon, Fortis Hospital, Vashi. These changes cause inflammation and swelling in the soft tissues of the body, making the joint fluid expand.

Do not ignore the pain

Dr Bhor says people often ignore the pain thinking it will go away on its own. This can make the symptoms worse. Immediately consult with your doctor when the pain becomes unbearable.
