World TB Day 2022: Tuberculosis is a disease that is caused by germs that are spread from person to person through air. If not detected and treated timely, it can become fatal. The disease affects lungs but it can also attack our brain and spine. Mycobacterium Tuberculosis is the name of the bacteria that causes TB. Every year we celebrate World TB Day on 24th of March to raise awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of Tuberculosis and also educate people to take necessary steps to eradicate TB.
