Puberty in girls is caused due to hormonal changes in the body, which in turn cause physical and emotional changes. It normally begins in most girls at the age of 10 – 12 years, although the actual changes in the hormones start off from 8 – 15 years. These hormonal signals trigger your libido along with causing growth and development of bones, hair and secondary sexual organs like breasts. One of the most significant changes that you can observe in your growing years is changes in the breast size and darkening of areola.
