You think all the young people know everything about condoms? Well, we asked people of various age groups (18+ obviously!) if they can say ‘condom’ and if they know how to use one. Though everything you need to know about contraception is available freely on the internet, people still don’t realise the need for it. Most of you will link contraception to unwanted pregnancy. But there’s more to using contraceptives than just avoiding pregnancy. It’s called ‘safe sex’ for a reason — to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
It’s World Contraception Day on 26th September and we thought, why not ask people if they know what condoms are used for and whether they can say it. This might be surprising, but a majority of the population hesitate to say ‘condoms’. It is still a hush-hush topic — no wonder we are the second most populated country. Condoms are not the only contraceptive method you can use, there are various others methods too. Also, you can use female condoms! Here’s a step by step guide on how to use female condoms.
