Is your teenager daughter on Facebook? You might think you know your daughter the best, but do you really? Your daughter might be friends with a sexual predator who has disguised himself on Facebook or other networking sites using a fake account. If you haven’t spoken to your kids about the Dos and Don’ts of socialising online already, then it’s high time you do. There will be fewer cyber crimes if there are information and education about these things.
Social media can prove to be dangerous for your children. It’s important for them to know that there are sexual predators out there, even on social networking sites. In this video, Coby Persin conducts a social experiment on three 12-year-olds which will be an eye-opener for all you parents out there. Watch, learn and be safe. (P.S. You can show them this video while you are explaining the pros and cons of social media to give them a better perspective.)
