Medicine Price Hike from April: Over 800 drugs and medicines including antibiotics, painkillers and anti-infective will see an increase in price of over 10 percent from the month of April. India's drug pricing authority, The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has allowed a 10.7 percent of medicine price hike which are under price control. The price of medicines which cures infection, fever, skin diseases, heart diseases, anemia and high blood pressure will increase.
