Think pickle is bad for health and can add too many calories not to forget the oil and salt content in it? Well, renowned nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar who is responsible for the fit body of Kareena Kapoor, explains in this video why pickle is in fact good for us. She explains how the contents of a pickle can help us digest our food better as it has good bacteria or probiotics in it. Watch this video to bust the myth that pickles are all bad for health.

But you need to keep your quantity in check. According to another nutritionist Neha Chandna, 'While a normal, healthy person can have one teaspoon of pickle every day, a person with health issues should restrict it to 1-2 times per week.' She also suggests selecting pickles with vegetables like carrots, beet, amla, etc.
