In this video, fitness trainer Jeff Cavaliere from Athlean-X warns of a shoulder exercise you should avoid.
Cavaliere says that behind-the-back shoulder press is one of the worst exercises to do for your shoulders as it can damage your rotator cuff. Cavalier uses a skeleton to demonstrate how the bones inside your shoulders react to both front shoulder press and behind the back shoulder press. Towards the end of the video, Jeff Cavaliere says, ‘I don’t care if you think that it’s not hurting you now. That you have been doing this exercise for a couple of years and it doesn’t bother you. I promise you that this grinding, over and over and over again is going to hurt you. You’re no good if you can’t get in the gym at all.
