There’s no denying that Shilpa Shetty has one of the most captivating and fit body in Bollywood. Some celebs get hotter with age and Shilpa is undeniably one. Her post-pregnancy weight loss is remarkable, and she credits all of it to yoga. Shilpa strictly adheres to her daily yoga routine. For her, yoga is just not a way to keep her in shape but a way to release the stress and tension. The actress has also released a set of DVDs where she talks about the benefits of the yoga poses and also illustrates each one of them. In this video, she demonstrates the steps of the very relaxing shashankasana or the hare pose. It is an excellent asana for beginners and can be practised by people of any age.
This is a great asana to relieve stress, anxiety and depression. The asana stretches the upper body and tones the back and pelvic muscles. The posture can also be beneficial in relieving sciatica (lower back) pain. Focus on your breath while performing the asana.
Word of caution:
Do not try to get into this asana if you have a hip or back injury.
