You know those women who don't look like they housed and pushed a baby from their body. Who can give college girls some serious complex with their flat abs, toned legs and a killer posture. Yes, the ones who all us 'regular' mothers hate! The ones who are super disciplined when it comes to working out, while the closest we get to working out is wearing yoga pants (so comfortable, right!). Well, this year, my resolution is that I will not let anything come in the way of working out. Sleep, household chores, the baby, or the urgent need to pee -- nothing can stop me from working out!

How do I plan on doing this? Well, by finding a motivation point to work out. My is my baby -- I want to be fitter for her and also to set a good, healthy example for her. So I started with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar every morning, which I taught my toddler too. And soon we were both doing Surya Namaskars together. Cute, right? This motivated me to start working out with her, and thus started the search for a good workout tutorial easy enough to follow and which I could do with my tot. Turns out, not only can you get your child to work out with you, but use them as weights too. Genius! Holding and lifting 13-15 kgs. (average toddler weight) will give you toned arm and make your tot burst out with laughter. Win-win!

Here's a video I like following. The exercises are simple and you can do with even a young baby. My tip is to try and work out routinely, so that both you and the baby gets into the habit. The first few days will be difficult to loosen your body and get into the routine, but once you form a habit, it will get easier to stick to it.
