An incline dumbbell bench press is just like the normal bench press, the difference being it’s done at a 20-45 degree angle on an incline bench. You can also perform this exercise on a barbell instead of a dumbbell. Though the form and technique remains the same, there are certain things you need to consider while doing an incline dumbbell bench press. You need to make sure that your elbows are perpendicular to the floor and not your body. Use your entire body while doing the exercise. You will learn how to do that in the video. You also need to concentrate on your breathing and ensure that you are breathing in between reps and not while doing the reps.
In this video, Kaizzad Capadia, a fitness trainer and co-founder of K11 Fitness Academy, shows you how to nail the incline bench press exercise. He talks about the right way to position yourself while doing the incline bench press, the right breathing technique, the benefits of incline bench press and so much more. Try this way of doing the bench press next time you go workout at the gym and we bet, you’ll have all eyes on you when people see the results. You, too, will be amazed at it. The bench press is an ideal weight training exercise for the chest and the pectorals. Once, you have mastered it, increase the intensity of your workout by opting for dumbbells that have a slightly higher poundage than the ones you were working on.
