Healthy recipe: Curd rice

[videoinfinite id='Bd-E2SnHhaE' height='400' width='600'] Curd has numerous health benefits. This recipe is very good for the summers as it keeps the stomach cool. It helps treat indigestion, keeping you full for a longer time while making you feel light. Ingredients:

  • 250 g steamed rice
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds or rai
  • 1 pinch asafoetida or hing
  • 1 tsp uraddal
  • 4 - 5 curry leaves or kadhi patta
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

  • Mix cooked rice and refrigerated curd in a bowl.
  • Add salt and mix.
  • For tadka: Take oil in a pain, add rai, hing, uraldal, curry leaves and dry red chilies.
  • Pour this tadka over the curd and rice mixture.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with papad and pickle.
