This healthy carrot and raisins salad makes eating bland, raw foods more interesting. It is sweet in taste with a light lemon juice dressing. Being rich in fibre, this salad can keep you full for a longer time, helping you beat hunger pangs. The antioxidants present in carrots can bolster your metabolism, making it an excellent weight loss food. Being rich in vitamin K, carrots can also contribute to blood coagulation and strengthening your bones. These 5 healthy juices can also help you lose weight.

Ingredients:

  • 5 carrots (grated)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (soaked)
  • 8 walnuts (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp peppercorns (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • In a bowl, take carrots, raisins, walnuts and mint leaves. Mix well.
  • Combine lemon juice, black salt, salt, green chilli, peppercorns and honey. Mix well.
  • Add this dressing to the grated carrots and toss well.
  • Serve.
