She strongly swears by yoga and advocates all to practise it. She has also come up with a set of yoga DVDs called Shilpa’s Yoga. In this video, the actress shows you the steps of uthkatasana or chair pose. Utkatasana is one of those yoga poses that works very well in burning your belly fat. Additionally, the chair pose helps strengthen the muscles of your lower back, hips, thighs and chest. If you simply want to melt your belly fat, tone your thighs and get your buttocks in shape this asana is for you. This asana is also known to improve your focus and concentration. Here is another yoga pose to tone your hips and thighs.
Word of caution: Do not perform this asana if you have a knee or back injury. Also, avoid this pose if you suffer from insomnia or bouts of frequent headaches. You can practice this asana when you have your periods, but be sure, not to put too much pressure on your lower back.
