Pilates was introduced by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. Like many others, he was too, trapped in Britain because of war. On the Isle of Man, he trained other trapped Germans in Pilates. It helps strengthen you both, physically and mentally. Pilates cannot be done without the required apparatus and equipment. Also, if you are overweight, pregnant, over 40 years old or suffering any ailments, you must not opt for Pilates before consulting an expert.
