We have all heard of detox diet which helps cleanse the system and boost immunity. Here is a new way of detoxifying the body through exercise called detox yoga. Yoga has a holistic approach to improve body postures and boost metabolic and nervous systems. The detox yoga is aimed at stimulating the digestive system, specifically to help release toxins from the body, cleansing and rejuvenating it. The detox yoga sequence begins with a seated twist and gradually progresses into various poses, which twist your abdomen, working on your digestive system to boost the flushing of toxins. This series of poses also stimulates the thyroid gland.
Suryanamaskar, which is an important part of this sequence, helps warm-up the body. Few detox yoga poses include variations of yoga
