One cup of tea contains half a teaspoon of sugar (if you are calorie-conscious). One glass of lemon juice is loaded with 1 - 2 teaspoons of sugar. A medium bowl of kheer or carrot halwa is packed with 3 - 4 teaspoons of sugar. And your favourite gulab jamuns and jalebis contain more than 4 teaspoons of sugar. And by the time you end your day with a dessert, your daily intake of sugar accounts to more than 10 teaspoons of sugar.
