April 7 is World Health Day and this year's theme is Food Safety.
Food safety is often ignored and lack of awareness results in the increasing number of cases of food poisoning worldwide. When asked what is safe food, people from across the world said that safe food is free from contamination from microbes, viruses and chemicals. They believed that food is safe because people who handle food from the farms to the plates ensure that it is not contaminated and safe for consumption.
