Ragini was barely two years old when a boy poured oil over her and lit a match that burnt most of her upper body. Since then, she cannot turn her head because of burn scar contracture. She lives in a remote village in India with her parents. Since her parents couldn't afford a surgery, she was left untreated for seven and a half years. Thanks to Dr Subodh Kumar Singh, she got surgery and could see the sky again. Severe burns, if not treated immediately, leave scars and deformities behind. You must know about these types of burns.

Wonderwork is a charity organisation based in New York, which currently functions in over 60 countries and focuses on providing surgeries to underprivileged and poor people. BurnRescue is another such organisation sponsored by Wonderwork that helps people who can't afford to get surgery. In this video, Ragini and her parents are overjoyed when they see hope. A hope that their princess will be able to lead a normal life without being made fun of or cringed upon by her classmates and other people. Her reaction, when she could turn her head, look at the sky and feel normal again is priceless. Read: First aid for burn injuries.
