It is easy to get extremely stressed in today’s demanding urban world. With rising prices and expectations, it gets extremely difficult for a person to remain sane.
In this video, Charnita Arora, Emotional Well-being & Happiness coach gives a few tips on purifying one’s mind. She reads out an excerpt from the book Four Chapters on Freedom by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
She says that in order to purify one’s mind, these are four habits that need to be inculcated:
- Experiencing happiness in the other person’s happiness
- When somebody is miserable, experiencing compassion
- Experiencing indifference when a person is doing something that is wrong (or vicious)
- Feeling happiness when you see somebody expressing virtue as it reaffirms the positive things about life
Towards the end of the video, Charnita says, ‘If I learn to practice these habits of mind, I’ll be able to cultivate a steady minded approach towards life and that will reflect in everything that I do.’
