What is ideal today might not be ultimate tomorrow. This video exactly showcases that today’s ideal of a perfect body might not be even valid tomorrow. Throughout history the perception of how a woman should look has changed.
In ancient Egypt (C 1292 – 1069 BC) women were perceived to be ideal if they had slender, narrow shoulders, a high waist and a symmetrical face. In ancient Greece c 500 to 300 BC women were considered to be disfigured version of men and ideal women were the ones with a plump body and light skin. Again during the Han dynasty from 206 BC to 220 AD, an ideal woman was the one with a slim waist, pale skin, large eyes and small feet. This changing trend has been observed through centuries where 1980s saw a supermodel era where tall, athletic women were considered ideal and a sudden change of trend was seen in the 90s where women sported a thin, frail look and had translucent skin. And today again, in the post modern era, women with a flat stomach, large breasts and butts and a thigh gap are considered the ideal body type.
This video only tells us how beautiful each and every body type is and no type is ideal!
