Everyone wants to flaunt those swimsuits and skirts during summer. And when your legs take the centre stage in these clothes, you want them to look the best. And when you are shaving your legs, you don’t want to show off those bumps on your legs. However while shaving is a pain-free way to get rid of unwanted hair, it can irritate your skin and leave it feeling itchy and dry. Shaving can also result in a lot of undergrowth. Sometimes, it leads to thicker and darker looking hair growth so much so that you can feel the fuzz when you touch your legs. It is, therefore, important to keep a few dos and don’ts in mind before you shave your legs.
- Moisturise your skin after shaving.
- Do not go out immediately in extreme heat after shaving your legs as it may further irritate your skin.
- If you are using a disposable razor, make sure not to use it more than once or twice.
- Never use anyone else’s razor as it can lead to infections.
However, if your hair growth is thick, opt for waxing over shaving as it will slow the hair growth and also gradually make it smooth. Learning how to conceal and preventing razor burns can also help. Here are four simple tips to shave your legs less often.
