We often turn to home remedies for beauty problems like pimples, dandruff etc. instead of rushing to a skin specialist. Many of them are passed on from our grandmas to our mothers and then to us. Since they are tried and tested, we often rely on them without questioning their efficacy. So what's the real deal on home remedies?   • If you experience itchiness or redness after applying a home remedy, wash your face and don't use it again as it probably does not suit your skin.
  • Don't store homemade pastes for too long as they don't have preservatives and may not last for a long time. It is best to make them fresh as and when needed.
