Tongue cancer is often characterised by the development of malignant tumor on the top of the tongue or in its base. The evidence of occurrence of such cancer is higher in men than women. The symptoms of tongue cancer includes red or solid white patches on the tongue which causes bleeding while eating, drinking or even swallowing food (when the patches rupture).
