Squamous cancer is medically known as squamous cell carcinoma. It is a very common type of skin cancer which generally occurs on the superficial layer of skin. Usually this cancer is not life threatening if it is diagnosed and treated in proper time but when the cancer spreads to some other body parts (metastasis) it may turn out fatal. Over exposure to UV rays is the main cause for the occurrence of squamous cancer.
