Cancerous growth in connective tissues (blood vessels, bones, muscles and nerves) of the body is known as sarcoma. It is broadly divided into two subtypes: soft tissue sarcoma and bone sarcoma. Genetic mutation is one of key factors in the development of sarcoma. But it may also occur due to exposure to certain chemicals (phenoxyacetic acid and clorphenols) too. In early stages, sarcoma leaves no symptoms but as it spreads to the nerves and muscular tissues, symptoms like soreness and inflammation start appearing. The chance of occurrence of sarcoma is more in children compared to adults.
