Premature Skin Ageing

Ageing skin usually seeps in the mid 40's but in some cases these signs appear much earlier. This is called as premature skin ageing. Factors like environmental, hormonal and physiological changes effect the skin considerably. Exposure to the sun’s UVA rays cause excessive skin damage as these rays penetrate into the deepest layers causing them to age faster than normal. Lack of sleep, too much stress and smoking are also reasons to cause premature skin ageing.  Blotchy skin complexion, reddish patches near the temples and the cheeks, drug abuse causing the skin to look wrinkled and leathery are signs of premature skin ageing.  It is preferable to use sunscreen at all times, irrespective of the season. It is essential to look for stamps of approval by dermatologists on anti-ageing products and say they are clinically proven for preventing ageing.
