Expressing concern over poor healthcare, mainly in the country's rural areas of the country, President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday favoured its expansion to ensure equitable and quality services.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday said nursing professionals were the backbone of the healthcare system and their contribution was critical in achievement of nation's healthcare goals.
'It is also an important priority to address the stigma experienced by persons who are mentally ill. They should not continue to be subjected to neglect and marginalisation,' the President said
