The Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill, 2018 was passed in the Lok Sabha on December 3. This bill seeks constitution of a Board of Governors that will exercise the powers of the Medical Council of India.
Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who introduced the bill and later piloted it in the Lok Sabha, said history was being created today.
