While working out in the gym under a trainer is preferred, if time constraints and the lack of a good gym near your house is an issue then you can lose weight at home too. There are several exercises you can do using just your bodyweight that will help tone the muscles on every part of your body.
Also, some people with a negative body image are really conscious about going to the gym. For them, working out at home can be a great idea. You can do exercises like push-ups and pull-ups to sculpt your upper body, squats and leg lunges to sculpt your lower body and abdominal crunches to tone your abs.
There are also fitness regimes you can do like the 7 minute scientific workout. It is a form of high intensity interval training where you have to do one exercise for 30 seconds, take a 10 minute break and do another one for 30 seconds until the clock hits 7 minutes. Your muscles get adequate rest as you alternate between exercises that work on different parts of your body. For example, after doing abdominal crunches for 30 seconds your abs may feel some pain, so in the next 30 second session, you workout your legs by stepping up onto a chair.
If you don’t find time even at home because you can’t afford to miss your favourite shows on TV – then you can try the commercial break workout.
While a lot of these exercises may not be enough to give you a body like John Abraham or Hrithik Roshan, they are enough to help you lose weight and improve your self-confidence.
