Glioblastoma is the cancer of glial cells of the brain. Glial cancer has been divided into four stages depending on its severity and glioblastoma is categorised as grade IV stage of glial cancer. This means such a type of cancer is highly malignant. These type of cancerous cells spread very fast and thus metastasise rapidly within the brain cells. Glioblastoma commonly occurs among the middle aged men of Asian origin. The major risk factor of this disease is radiation exposure. In many individuals the symptoms do not become apparent while others may experience some symptoms like headache, seizures, nausea and vomiting. Treatment generally includes oral chemotherapy. But surgery and radiation therapy are also the preferred options of treatment for glioblastoma.
