A cold also called the common cold or nasopharyngitis is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract primarily affecting the nose. It is most commonly caused by rhinoviruses. But more than 200 viruses are known to cause common cold. Sneezing, runny nose, coughing, sore throat and fever are some of the symptoms. The symptoms usually resolve in seven to ten days.
