The bone marrow is soft, spongy tissue which is found inside the bones. It consists of naïve cells, which are commonly known as stem cells. These stem cells can develop into different components of blood as RBC, WBC and platelets. In a pathological state, when the bone marrow becomes malfunctioned certain diseases can occur.  Aplastic anemia, lymphoma and leukemia are the few diseases which may originate with the improper functioning of the bone marrow.
