Blackheads

Blackheads are non-inflammatory open comedones, originating from grade I type of acne. These have a wider opening than normal, accumulating sebum, skin debris and bacteria. This means, blackheads are a cause of overproduction of oil and can affect people with any skin. This type of acne may also be found in yellow colour. Blackheads is a known first stage of acne, usually seen developed once puberty is reached; very commonly found in adolescents and young adults. During the treatment of blackheads, you must know this skin issue is not caused as a result of dirty skin or unhealthy foods. It needs thorough cleansing with a mild soap or facial scrub for removal of the harmful sebum and dead skin cells from its surface. Use of make-up and oil based creams should be avoided as these can further aggravate the amount of oil in the follicles.
