Friday night is an excellent time to have sex. You are extremely glad since the weekend is right here and may have had a hard week too- so de-stressing with your loved one is a fantastic plan. But you know what? You should have sex frequently for a healthy heart. Trust us, it is all for the sake of good health.

  1. Saves you from a heart attack: Everybody knows that when you are highly stressed, the hormones that are released constrict the blood vessels and increase your risk of heart attack. This means if you are less stressed, you will, in turn, be lowering the chances of a heart attack.
  2. Lowers blood pressure: A study in the journal Biological psychologyrevealed that people involved in sexual intercourse (this doesn't include masturbation) lowered systolic blood pressure and thus, lower your chances of suffering from heart disease. During an orgasm, the hormone oxytocin is stimulated, that in turn has a direct effect on lowering your blood pressure, a key risk factor of heart disease.
  3. Let's you sleep better: Oh we can't stop stressing on how important sleep is for any human. Various studies have proven that lack of sleep can be a risk to fertility. Moreover, lack of sleep is strongly connected to elevated blood pressure and increased risk of heart disease. Therefore sleeping well is the key to good sexual health. Orgasm is be a great booster for good sleep. But even if you don't reach the orgasm- sex will surely help you sleep better. Oxytocin is otherwise called the 'cuddle hormone' and it is released in adequate amounts during sex. This hormone has a relaxing effect and helps to reduce blood pressure. Oxytocin also has an anti-anxiety effect and acts as stress buster.
