situational edI recently moved back from Australia where I was for the last 8 months with my girlfriend and have had an amazing sex life as long I was there. After I moved back to India, my sex drive has completely reduced and my desire for sex is next to zero. I checked the net for possible reasons why and I have ruled out diabetes, hyper/hypothyroidism etc. I keep myself completely fit and am not overweight and my diet is pristine perfect and I do not indulge too much in any saturated fats.

And the biggest issue of it is that I am just 22 years old and this should not be happening. I got my first scare when I went 7 days without an erection. A visual check confirmed that the size of my testes have not shrunk but the penis has. It has been 18 days now and I am starting to freak out. Does the libido level just take a break sometimes? I am not even sick for this to be because of a recovery and even if my libido has just taken a break. Is it permanent? If not, can you tell me how long will it last. I'm too young for such an issue. Please help me doctor.

Welcome to India! Is your girlfriend with you in India now or not?

We call this as Situational ED and it is not uncommon for men (of any age) to experience this. You need to understand that you are in a transition period and it will take some time for things to settle. The most important thing is you should not be thinking and worrying about this too much as it could influence your future sex life. Accept that you are in a transitional period and that the issue you are facing is ONLY situational. On the other hand, having a break is not a bad thing as you could go back (to Australia) and start enjoying a sex with more interest. I am confident that it will be all right. FYI I have lived in Sydney for 8 years and used to visit India every year. I can totally understand about the transition periods.
