6 reasons why all women should masturbate after marriage

We don't masturbate for the same reason why we have sex!

The great American filmmaker Woody Allen once said, "Don't knock on masturbation. It's sex with someone I love." This is perhaps the most endearing quote on masturbation I have ever come across, mainly because it equates masturbation with self love. We know for a fact that self love shouldn't cease with marriage; so why should masturbation? But the problem lies with the way in which most Indians perceive the idea; it is believed that masturbation and marriage are mutually exclusive ideas. So if you are being sexually satisfied in your marriage, why would you need to masturbate? Give those prudish ideas a big heave ho because here are 5 reasons why you should consider masturbating even after marriage.

It is normal to masturbate after marriage: Ironically, women are not encouraged to masturbate before marriage; and after marriage, they are questioned why they need to in the first place. Sex and masturbation have two distinctly different purposes. And often, you don't masturbate for the same reason as you have sex. And no, it doesn't mean you are unhappy in your marriage. You can masturbate despite being married to the best person on earth.

Sex with your husband improves: Science has got your back on this one! Those who masturbate enjoy sex more than those who don't. That's because being in touch with your sexual side helps you know what you want in bed.

Marriage stresses you out; masturbation helps you relieve that stress: Let's face it. Despite what is popularly written and said about the institution of marriage, there is no denying that it is a stressor. Adjusting to a new household, putting up with your partner's tantrums, adjusting to his family, the list goes on. A little self-love session is important to get through the tedium that is marriage.

It gives you a sense of self: Get to know the most fascinating person you know; masturbate! We dare you to find a better way to connect with yourself, and we don't mean spiritually. After marriage, many Indian women lose their sense of self, trying to please the in laws and their husbands. If sex is about making a deeper connection with another human being, masturbation is about creating that connect with yourself.

It helps you sleep: Don't brush it off before you try it. Try falling asleep after a hard day's work next to a snoring husband. Doesn't work right? Put an end to all the tossing and turning. Masturbation before hitting the bed helps release endorphins, helping you relax. Ditch the same-old, warm-glass- of-milk routine; try masturbation instead!
