You may suffer from Chlamydia due to bacteria named Chlamydia trachomatis and it easily spreads through contact, oral, vaginal and anal sex. Chlamydia can permanently damage your reproductive system and women may find it difficult to conceive. You may get it if you don't use protection. Women may exhibit symptom like burning sensations while urinating, they may bleed after intercourse, they may experience vaginal discharge and abdominal pain.

Moreover, it can also cause lower back pain, nausea, fever, vomiting and sore throat. While men may show symptoms like testicular pain and swelling, eye inflammation, cloudy discharge from the penis and rectal pain.

Risk factors: Every sexually active person can contract it. Furthermore, according to a study, women might be at a risk of Chlamydia due to certain vaginal bacteria.

So, your doctor will prescribe you antibiotics if you are suffering from Chlamydia. Make sure that you avoid having sexual intercourse until you get back on track. Also, just try out these natural ways to get rid of Chlamydia.

  • You can opt for garlic: It has antibiotic and anti-viral properties which can alleviate Chlamydia as it tends to kill the bacteria present and clear the infection. Just eat 2-3 garlic cloves or add it into your daily diet.
  • You can opt for sage tea: Sage has anti-inflammatory properties and can help you to tackle Chlamydia. Take some sage leaves, crush them, put them in the water and boil. Let it steep for a few minutes, strain it and drink it.
  • You can opt for a well-balanced diet: Include leafy green veggies, probiotics, fresh fruits and veggies and sugar-free juices. Avoid spicy, fatty and oily foods. Also, say no to canned, processed and flavoured foods. Cut down on smoking and alcohol. Stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water. See to it that you load yourself with vitamin C-rich foods red peppers, tomatoes and so which will help you to enhance your immunity.
  • You can opt for turmeric: It contains anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial properties which can fight infections. It is antiseptic in nature and can fasten your healing process. It can help you to boost your immunity. So, just add turmeric to your diet or drink turmeric milk.
  • You can opt for curd: Yoghurt has good bacteria and it can help you to strengthen your immunity and fight off those infectious microbes. Just eat a cup of yoghurt or add it to your smoothie.
