Meghan Markle pregnancy: When Meghan Markle was pregnant with her second child, Princess Lilibet, she had to dance to induce labour, because she was a week past her due date. Taking to Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet throwback video from four years ago to celebrate her daughter's birthday, who was born on June 4, 2021. In the caption, the mother-of-two wrote: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work - there was only one thing left to do!" While the former senior UK royal family member grooved to the beats of the iconic 'Baby Momma' song, she was also joined by her husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, who playfully moved to the beats and seemed relaxed. The couple enjoyed the moment as they awaited the arrival of their daughter. They are also parents to Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born on May 6, 2019.

In the video -- shot inside the hospital room -- Meghan, 43, wore a comfortable black maternity dress and seemed visibly excited to welcome her little girl. Lilibet was born in California, US, where the couple had re-established a life in 2020, after moving on from their roles as full-time senior members of the British royal family, of which Prince William and Kate Middleton are also a part.

Can You Dance Your Way To Delivery?

While it is not a sure-shot way to induce labour, doctors often suggest low-intensity dancing during the final stages of pregnancy to hasten the process of delivery. According to doctors and other health experts, dancing can loosen and relax the muscles around the pelvis that are required to labour and push the baby out. When stimulated, these muscles can ease the process of labour by helping the baby move down towards the birth canal and out of the body. It is recommended to choose any kind of music that you enjoy, with beats that may make you want to dance.

On Instagram, Meghan also shared some more throwback pictures of the birth of her daughter. In one of them, Prince Harry was seen tenderly holding her in his arms, their eyes locked on each other. The caption read, "The sweetest bond to watch unfold. Daddy's little girl and favourite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!"

Then, there were other black-and-white photos of Meghan holding her princess, one of which seemed to have been clicked soon after she was born. "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!
