kim-kardashianPregnant socialite Kim Kardashian was reportedly rushed to the hospital after she felt uneasy during a flight. She was on her way here from Paris when she felt uneasy, and she called a friend the moment she landed. "Kim started feeling ill on the plane from Paris, and called friends as soon as she landed. She was rushed to her doctor in tears," said a source on nypost.com. The 32-year-old is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West. Kim is being too harsh on herself and her yet-to-be born baby by working out too much, said doctors. She has now been advised to go slow. Kim's not respecting her pregnancy. She's running around, working out seven days a week.

"She's working with two different trainers to control her weight, including Tracy Anderson and a pregnancy trainer. She is having a very rough pregnancy, and doctors have ordered her to slow down," the source added. Tracy released a series of DVDs called the Pregnancy Project to stay fit and in shape and Kim was undergoing this workout. The workout has toning exercises and a dance cardio workout to keep fit.

While working out and exercising during pregnancy is good, it can be harmful if overdone. According to Dr Zinal Unadkat, a leading paediatrician, neonatologist and lactation consultant, walking is the best kind of exercise that expecting mothers should do. She says that pregnancy is a state of increased metabolism and one should exercise only under the supervision of certified trained experts.

There are certain activities that should be avoided during pregnancy. They are:

  • Sports like football, basketball, whre chances of getting hit by someone or the ball are high.
  • One should not workout under the hot sun.
  • Activities where one is at risk of falling and getting hurt should be avoided skiing, horseback riding etc.
  • Even while you exercise, do not hold your breath.
  • Skipping, jumping, running should not be done.
  • One needs to take special care of the abdominal region so any sport or workout which involves too much movement should be avoided.
