Women's Eye Health

It is extremely important to take care of your eyes, especially if you live in a dry place that can steal the moisture from your eyes and make it burn. Women, more than men, must pay attention to their eye health. According to Dr Raju Manglawat, medical director at Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospital, Indore, it is difficult to understand women’s eye health because of the 'diverse array of factors' influencing it, such as social, genetic, environmental, and demographic. The doctor said in different stages of a woman’s life -- pregnancy, menopause, post-menopause -- the risk of blurred vision 'fluctuates'.

Eat Healthy, Balanced Meals

Make sure that your diet is a nutrient-rich diet, and inclusive of foods that are rich in vitamins A, C, and E, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids; they promote eye health. Leafy greens, fish, nuts, and colourful fruits and vegetables are excellent choices, too.
