This happens because sleeping on the right side makes the acid take longer to clear out of your oesophagus, which increases heartburn symptoms. In addition, the acid can regurgitate back into your oesophagus more often if you lay on your back. But sleeping with your head elevated using a wedge pillow will keep the acid in your stomach. Another helpful process is by using a wedge pillow on the right side.

Lying Down Right After A Meal

Avoid lying down for at least 2 to 3 hours after eating a meal and say no snacking close to bedtime.

Gassy Or Spicy

Usually, babies can tolerate food that is gas-producing or spicy. However, if you find your baby is often gassy or colicky and has increased diarrhoea after eating a particular food, keep an intake check and observe for two to three weeks.
