What Is Obesity?
When a person is obese, they have 'abnormal' or 'excessive' fat accumulation in the body that makes them overweight and also poses a risk to their health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), when a person has a body mass index (BMI) of over 25, they are 'overweight'; when they are over 30, they are 'obese'.
