Exercise of any form helps manage your weight and lower the risk of developing some diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. Regular exercise can also help a person age gracefully. However, most of us focus on building the upper body. Don’t you want a strong lower body to match those perfect abs? Remember your legs are your foundations. Your legs help you walk, jump, and balance. Strong legs can provide you with the stability you need for a better and longer performance at gym or other physical activities. One of the main benefits of yoga is that it works on your whole body. There’s a legs day or arms day at the gym, but doing a regular yoga practice will benefits your entire body. Chair Pose: This classic pose works the muscles of the arms and legs as well as stimulates the diaphragm and heart. Start holding the pose for a few seconds, then gradually increase to 60-90 seconds.
