Rubina Dilaik Shares 5 Things She Did While Recovering From Covid-19

Stayed Hydrated

Even though you may not be thirsty, it is important to drink enough fluids to boost your body’s ability to fight the virus and strengthen your body’s immune system. When we are sick, our body loses a lot of water in the form of mucus, which actually helps remove the disease-causing germs. Plus, the medicines you take to combat the symptoms of the viral infection can cause dryness in the body. Thus, we should drink enough water to stay hydrated during the Covid-19 recovery period.

Practised Yoga

COVID patients tend to experience low oxygen levels and therefore doctors suggest Covid-19 patients to practise yoga to keep their lungs healthy. Anulom viyom pranayam is known to be effective in expanding the lungs and improving the oxygen levels. Practising yoga also helps in allaying the fear and anxiety among patients, resulting in easy recovery, said yoga experts.  Also Read - Pakistan's Former President Pervez Musharraf Dies At 79 After Prolonged Illness

Took Medications On Time

Patients in home isolation must be in communication with a treating physician and promptly report in case of any deterioration, said the health ministry’s revised guidelines. The prescribed medications must be taken in the proper quantity and at the right time, only then they would prove to be beneficial. If the oxygen level drops below 94, a patient should get admitted to a hospital.
