Changes In Appetite During Pregnancy

During pregnancy, it is natural to not want to eat anything, especially when one is experiencing nausea. The body goes through a lot of changes, and it may affect the mother-to-be's appetite. According to Dr Shalini Verma, an obstetrician-gynecologist, nausea, fatigue, and food aversions can suppress appetite during pregnancy. In an Instagram post, the doctor explained that pregnancy triggers a 'surge' in hormones, especially progesterone, which can slow down digestion and cause nausea. Do Not Force Yourself To Eat A Full Meal

There is no need to eat forcibly, and that, too, a big meal, the doctor said. Eat smaller, frequent meals every 2-3 hours throughout the day.
