Childhood Cancer

It increases the risk of cancer: This is really scary, a study published in the journal Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology showed that both active and passive smoking during pregnancy increased risk of tumour in the central nervous system of the baby. In fact, the risk was more for non-smoking mothers who were regularly exposed to environmental tobacco smoke [2].

Childhood Allergies

It increases the risk of allergies: It is a known fact that smoking during pregnancy increases the child’s risk to certain respiratory diseases like asthma.
